Sketches in Thyme #220

Good day to all my scrappy followers,

I am (or at least will be shortly) up on the Sketches in Thyme blog with sketch #220 reveal

I have used papers from Kaisercraft, as well as the diecut sticker strips, and word strips, and the alphas as well.

These pictures were from a hugely fun day we had in Bali recently - quad bike riding (hubby drove, not me) and canyon tubing - which was the most fun ever, and included a flying fox section which also was awesome fun.

So, my dear friends, head on over to Sketches in Thyme and partake of the sketch, link up
 your efforts and be in witch a chance to win a prize pack.

Till next time

Creative Inspiration Wednesday Stash Challenge

It Wednesday, which means Stash Challenge day at Creative Inspiration.

So, if you haven't done so already, head on over and apply to be a member of the forum so you can join in on all the magnificent challenges that you will find there.

For todays stash challenge, I would like you to use the letters from your hometown, and match those letters with the following stash items to create your project, whether it be a layout, card, tag, ATC, project life page, etc.
A= Acrylic Paint    B = Button/s    C = Cork    D = Date Stamp    E = Enamel Dot/s   F = Fabric
G = Gesso    H = Hexagon      I = Inked edges    J = Journalling spot    K = Key    L = Label
M =Metal    N = Neutral Background    O = One photo    P = Polka dots Q = Quote                            R = Rhinestone/s    S = Stitching    T = Tag    U = Upside down    V = Veneer   X = Xacto (fussy cut)Y = Yarn      Z= Zig zags (chevron)

So, my home town is Devonport, so my layout incorporates:  Date stamp, Enamel dots, Veneer, One photo, Neutral background, Polka dots, Rhinestones and a Tag.  If you have a letter double up like I do, you only need to use that stash item once, unless you wish to use it more than once (eg, 2 x O = you could use 2 photo's)

So, what do you think?  Like my challenge?  If so, cant wait to see what you come up with.

Please join me at Creative Inspiration

Sunny Day Crafting Reveal

Hello there fellow scrappers,

My second reveal is up at Sunny Day Crafting.  As always it is an anything goes challenge.

Again, I have used a picture of my great nephew and have scrapped the page 8.5 x 8.5.  I am so loving this size, but need some smaller size photos so I can scrap more than one at a time on a layout.

Last week, we had 96 link ups - wow - my challenge to you all is to see if we can make it to 100 this week.

You have until midnight next Monday 19th to link up your projects.

Go on, I know you want to :)

See you soon

Sunny Day Crafting Reveal

Hello there Loverlies,

My first reveal for Sunny Day Crafting is up :)

I have a mountain of photos of my great nephew as yet unscrapped so I am dedicating some time and effort into scrapping these.

I am going with a 8.5" x 8.5" format, in the hope of getting them done.

As I don't scrap chronologically, these will be in no particular order :)

So...my first reveal for Sunny Day Crafting Anything Goes challenge:

I have used buttons and epoxy dots, twine, washi tape, embossing, and some ink splatters.

Have a project to link up for Sunny Day Crafting, head over to the blog and link it up :)

Thanks for popping in.

Sept 1 Thursday Scraplift Challenge

Its Thursday Scraplift Challenge at Turtle Soup and at our new home at Creative Inspiration.

The forum is closing at Turtle Soup and Bev has worked extremely hard to find a new home for us to continue to chat, and inspire.

Our new home is called Creative Inspiration and it flows along the very same way that Turtle Soup does.  There is a week changeover period where all challenges, etc will appear on both boards before the switch to Creative Inspration is permanent.  You will need to apply for an account before you can enter the forum.  So why not head over and get applying.  Looking forward to seeing you all there :)

I have chosen this simply sensational layout from TurtleGirl from way back in 2006.  I loved the single photo in the middle of the page, and the background accent.

I have given my layout a modern twist by using mixed media on the background.  I have used the June Mixed Media Kit from Shop and Crop Scrapbooking

Now it is your turn :)

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you all real soon
