Week 3: My Scraproom Rules

Criteria is up at Scrapping Outback for week 3 of My Scraproom Rules, and this week is a doozy :)

Alecia sure has challenged us - more with what we have to SAY than what we have to use.
It is a Mystery Box Challenge and the only product we can use is what is in the Box:

Flour
Pastry
Oil
Mixed Herbs
Meat
Pasta and
Sugar

We have to translate the ingredients into scrapping supplies and explain the choice. Hmmmm?

The project doesnt have to be a layout, it can be a set of 4 cards or an OTP. Still!!

I havent finished the Pressure Test yet, so I cant really start on this challenge until I have that one completed. Wish me luck.

Any ideas??

Week 2: My Scraproom Rules

Here is my layout for week 2 at Scrapping Outback's My Scraproom Rules competitionThe criteria this week:

A sticky mouth watering sauce in the form of wet media, ie glimmermist, pain, ink, the chipboard should also be drizzled with this - CHECK, I have used Suede Glimmermist on my kraft base, and picket fence, as well as stamping on the chippie alphas in the title and I have sprayed the spiral flowers with Old Lace glimmermist

A flan - die cut pp - CHECK

Layers of decadence which include at least 3 pp's, handcut elements and cardstock - CHECK, I hope that my base cardstock counts as a layer??, but I have the other criteria covered as I have 5 layers, including the diecut under my pic, of which 3 are different pp's, and also some hand cut elements.

The creation must be presented beautifully with at least 3 pretty flower blooms - CHECK.

The final, and ultimate indulgence is cream piping work in the form of at least 1 handmade spiral flower - CHECK - I have 4 :)

So, I think I have it all covered. Will go and upload into the gallery so I can check out the other gorgeous creations.

Wish me luck :)

PS: I will take a better pic tomorrow in the natural light and replace the crappy one above

My Scraproom Rules

Challenge 2 is up at Scrapping Outback.

The ever talented Trudi Harrison has come up with a sensational challenge for us contestants.

We have to produce a "Sweet Old Fashioned Favourite", consisting of:

a sticky mouth-watering sauce - that is some form of wet media, ink, paint, glimmermist (also on the chipboard)
a flan - patterned paper diecut
layers of decadence - at least 3 patterned papers, hand cut elements and cardstock

It must also be presented beautifully by decorating the layout with:

at least 3 pretty flower blooms

And adding some Cream piping work for the ultimate indulgence:

at least 1 handmade spiral flower.

Phew, sounds so edible, doesnt it?

I might have time this evening to decide on a pic to use, and then work out the design. I am so lucky I bought the kits for the comp from SO cos I dont have to put the pp's together :)

Wish me luck
