Nuts about Sketches Week 182

The new sketch is up at Nuts about Sketches, and it is another pearler :)

I was a slacker this week and only did the left hand side, but loved how it came out

Wow, how Sam has grown - and changed.  Sometimes I wish he was still still this gorgeous, and young.

Thanks for stopping by, please say hi :)

Sketches in Thyme DT Call

Sketches in Thyme are having a DT call.:

The 6 month term for our talented Mavens is drawing to a close, and while some will be staying on, we are looking for new members to join our Sketches in Thyme design team! If you enjoy creating layouts from sketches, partipating in blogs and motivating others to take part in fantastic challenges, this might be your chance to be a part of our fantastic Design Team! Your term would run November-April, and you would be asked to complete 2 layouts per month. If you would like a chance to be considered, here's what you need to do:

1-Create a new layout based on our sketch below.
2-Post about our DT call on your blog, along with your take on our sketch.
3-Leave a comment here telling us that you would like to be considered for the DT, along with a link to your blog post!

And my example:

So, who is going to give it a go?  I am :)

Cheers

Sketches in Thyme

The third challenge for the month at Sketches in Thyme is an open challenge whereby you source a sketch from anywhere.

I used this sketch from My Creative Sketches

and created this layout:

It is a pic of mum and dad way back.  I have used a piece of Pink Paislee Mistables paper, misted with Black Cherry Glimmermist, and then topped off with a heavy dollop of Old Lace :).  The pp's are all FabScraps High Tea range.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Nuts About Sketches

Sketch no 177 is up at Nuts about Sketches, and I am sooooo excited because this is my first layout for the NaS DT :)

The Sketch we had to use:

And my example:

I hope to have mastered the new scanner before I need to post my next example.

I have used some of the fabulous Best Creations glitter pp on the layout - not that you can tell, lol, and slao some Pink Paislee Mistables alpha's - again unnoticable :(

Hope to get some September challenges done from around the traps, but we will see, wont we??

Till  next time - happy scrapping

Lasting Memories #52

Challenge #52 at Lasting Memories, and part of the DT call, was all about "Secret" ideas!! Do you hide your journaling, maybe hide one photo under another or sneak a little journal tag under that fold?

Well, I'm not much of a *secret* gal, so the only thing I could come up with was that I cut out the middle sections of my pp layers, especially if it is a pp that I love, so that I can use it on something else.  I also cut out the middle of the background cardstock cos you never know when you will need a little bit for another project.

So, that is the best I could come up with - hope its enough

Little Shop Of Sketches

Sketch #92 is up at Little Shop of Sketches, and is a beauty.

And  my version:

I am so sorry for the quality of the scan - I am still getting used to the new scanner and cant seem to get it right at the moments, but I will persevere and no doubt get there :)

Thanks so much for visiting
