Back with a vengeance

I know its been a while, but I am back now, scrapping with a vengeance, and it helps that I have this week off work on annual leave :)

The fabulous team at Scrapville have recommenced the Scrapburst challenges for 2013 and are the March ones great!!  There are even specific challenges for card makers, and you can win some fabby prizes too.

MARCH 2013 SCRAPBURSTS
#1 NUMBERS:
Your Layout must include the following items as indicated:
1x Stamped Image (pic)
2x Photos
3x PPapers
4x Flowers
5x Flags or Bunting

#2 Place/Thing photo – not of a person.
Your layout must include a photo of something from Nature, Pets, Towns, an Event or a Thing! You cannot have any people in your photo.

#3 White + 1: Orange.
You may use variations of Orange papers or cardstock, but it must be the dominant colour.
We will allow a 20% variation with the Orange only, which allows a little extra room to move for other colour tones - but that's it.

#4 Spellbinders x 3 Die Shapes.
Your Layout must have 3 x Spellbinder Die Shapes on the page, and you must name each one used. If using different sets, each one must be named.

MARCH 2013 CARDBURSTS

#1 Numbers
1X Stamped Image (pic)
2X PPapers
3X Flowers
You can add a sentiment or bling as desired.
#2 Photo Card
You must use a photo on your Card that has either an Animal/Bird/Nature on it as the main focus.

#3 White + Orange/Yellow
You may use variations of Orange and Yellow, but they must be dominant colours.
We will allow a 20% variation with the Orange/Yellow only, which allows a little extra room to move for other colour tones - but that's it.

#4 Spellbinders x 3 Die Shapes.
Your Card must have 3 x Spellbinder Die Shapes on it. We will also accept the Die Shapes being used in the inside of the Card. If using different sets, each one must be named.
Good luck everyone, and don't forget, Pumpkin Time 30th April. Let's get cracking!

What do you think??

Here is my efforts at Scrapburst #2

I have used some BG Serenade pp's and alphas, a strip of printed twill, a Kaiser Wooden Award flourish and assorted Bo Bunny brads and button, as well as a strip of thin Washi tape.

The picture, which contains no people, is off the Western Australia Athletics Stadium in Perth where Sam competed recently in his first Australian Junior Athletics Championships.

Also on the go at the moment is the Scrapbooking Top 50 March "Room with a View" Cyber Crop.

The first Challenge was set by Sarah
How fun are kid's rooms to decorate! I love that any colour conceivable can be used in a kids room.

For this challenge I want you to scrap a layout using some sort of inspiration from this picture. It could be colours, the quotes, the room design or anything else you decide.
I have one little extra criteria for you, you must use some form of layering on your layout.

Here it is:

There are so many options available here that I will have a hard time choosing.  How about you??

You have until Midnight on the 31st March (SA time) to get your entries uploaded.  There will be more challenges released later today so head on over, sign up and get busy.
