Hello Scrappy Friends,
I am up on the Scrap Plezier blog today with the final Kaisercraft reveal for April.
I have used the Chase Rainbows paper pad and collectibles. I printed my photo in black and white as the tops that my friend and I had on clashed. First off I cut various sizes of the papers to make my layers. I then cut banner edges in some of the paper strips. I added some twine and some Fancy Pants Millie & June Ephemera, some Echo Park Jack & Jill Enamel Dots, and some small splatters using Tattered Angels Glimmermist in Sapphire and Heidi Swapp Colour Shine in Gold.
Some close ups:
I hope I have inspired you all in some little way. If I have, why not let me know?
Thanks for dropping by - see you all soon
I love to scrapbook, or should I say, love to collect stash, which I one day plan to use :)

My Time to Craft Reveal
Hello Scrappy Friends
It is reveal day at My Time to Craft and the challenge this fortnight is to use sequins and/or buttons.
Here is my layout
Very simple layout this one. The background paper is from Kaisercraft Indigo Skies, blue, blue and more blue - love this collection. I traced around a chipboard star and glued the sequins down. I took a Flutterby star stencil and used Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Old Navy, Powder Blue and lemon Sorbet (to match the sequins). I layered up some of the other papers from the Indigo Skies collection. Mounted the layers with foam dots for more dimension, and added some bits from the Collectible pack as well as from the Wood Veneer pack - all from the Indigo Skies collection.
Some closeups:

My Time to Craft Reveal
Hello Scrappy Friends
Its time for a new challenge at My Time to Craft, and this fortnight your project must not contain any designer paper, so that is, make your own with stamps, pastes, embossing, etc, etc.
Here is my layout
I have used some new Lindy's Magical Shakers in Bavarian Blue, Lederhausen Laurel, and Octoberfest Orange on the background, after applying a coat of white gesso, and then spraying with water. Once I was happy with the placement and intensity of the magicals, I allowed the background to dry overnight before applying a Kaisercraft stencil with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Black Ash. Once that was dry I took a Creative Expressions stamp from the Arty Background stamp set and using Hero Arts India Ink in Black I stamped around where I wanted to place my photo. Finally I sprayed and splattered with Heidi Swapp Colour Shine in Tin. Once everything was dry I added some twine I had coloured with the Heidi Swapp, then mounted my photo on some music note tissue paper that came wrapped around a bunch of flowers, and placed it in position with some foam mounts. I finished off by adding various bits and bobs from my stash.

Scrap Plezier Reveal
Hello Scrappy Friends
I am up on the Scrap Plezier blog today with another Kaisercraft layout.
I am up on the Scrap Plezier blog today with another Kaisercraft layout.
I used papers and diecuts from Kaisercraft Seabreeze collection. As well
as a new Kaiser mini stencil called Dots and Dashes. Rounding out the layout is
some Colour Blast Australia Colour Paste in Leather, a Funky Flair button and
some 7 Dots journalling strips.
The photo is of my eldest son and a team mate who were representing
Regional Australia in the Oceania Area Athletics Championships in Rarotonga,
Cook Islands in June 2014. Sam competed in the Octathlon, finishing 4th, just
42 points from a bronze medal. He also competed in the individual 400m hurdles,
just missing the final. Overall at these championships, out of 9 events he
competed in (over 3 days), he managed personal best times or distances in 6 events. The most
special was his high jump where he jumped a qualifier for the Australia Junior
Athletic Championships in March the following year.
And a couple of closeups:
Look at the glorious shine of the texture paste

Hello Scrappy Friends
Its April 1 so that means a new monthly challenge at Sunny Day Crafting.
This month the challenge is ..... Spring
There are some lovely projects on the blog, and here is mine:
A very simple layout using some Cocoa Vanilla Make A Wish pp strips, a doily, Tim Holtz Collection Floral stencil with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Lemon Sorbet, Aquamarine, and Powder Blue. I also used Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powder in Mango Blaze, and Spearmint (the first time I have used these and I need to practice my technique, lol). I added some Pink Fresh Felicity puffy sequins, Amy Tangerine Alyx thickers, Cocoa Vanilla Sparkle Enamel Dots, Cocoa Vanilla Wood Veneer word arrow, splatters with Glimmermist Lime Twist, and stamping with a Prima Rossi Belle stamp.
See what I mean about practicing the Shimmer Dust technique - looks a mess to my eyes.
