Sketches in Thyme #270 Reveal
Hello Scrappy Friends
It is reveal day at Sketches in Thyme with this awesome sketch designed by Jenessa Franco.
I have used a piece of Kaisercraft All That Glitters - Polka Dot Glitter as the base and layered pieces from Cocoa Vanilla Studio Free Spirit - My Way (both sides) and Simple Stories Forever in my Heart - Heart. I covered a large chipboard heart with Simple Stories Laugh Lots - Posh and cut some hearts out of this paper for embellishments. I added a doily, some Kaisercraft Mini Paper Blooms in Coral and some sequins. The title alphas are Kaisercraft in Sea Breeze. All these items came from The Scrappery Kit - Jade.
Thanks for stopping by today - hope you get the chance to play along at Sketches in Thyme. There is a $30 Creative Embellishments voucher up for grabs. (Wish I could win it). Entries close 31 March.
I'll be back in a couple of days with my reveal for the My Time to Craft challenge.
Till then - happy scrapping

Scrap Plezier Blog Reveal
Hello Scrappy friends,
I am up on the Scrap Plezier blog with a Kaisercraft layout. Hope you enjoy it :)
We were fortunate enough to adopt a kitten from the shelter and bring him
into our family. He was names Mojo, and was a bundle of energy, except when
basking in the sunlight on the back deck, or asleep on my scraproom chair.
I have used layers from a 6x6 paper pack – Ubud Dreams from Kaisercraft,
along with diecuts from the Collectibles packet. I added some pretty pale green
sequins, a few splashes of Colour Blast Australia Colour Shimmer Spray in Deep
Water, and Dylusions Ink Spray in Polished Jade. The alphabet stickers are
Jillibean Soup.

Creative Inspirations March Mini Crop
Hello Scrappy Friends
It is March Mini Crop time at Creative Inspirations, and this month the theme is "Stash".
My stash has a whole lot of washi tape that I hardly ever use, so I decided that I would use this Mini Crop to challenge us all to use some of our washi.
I made some cards, yes, me, made cards!! And I would love it if you joined in at Creative Inspirations and used your washi tape to make some cards too.
I have 2 blanks that I can use for any occasion as needed.
You have until the 26th to join in.

My Time to Craft Reveal
Hello Scrappy friends,
It is reveal day at My Time to Craft, a fortnightly challenge blog I am fortunate enough to design for. This fortnight we had a sketch - a card sketch I might add that I adapted for my layout.
I used some of my most precious 7 Dots Studio tags and stickers, along with some Tim Holtz rubons, Jillibean Soup Alphabets, a The Crafters Workshop Dots and Dashes stencil with the most yummiest Colour Blast Colour Paste in Leather. It is beautiful. The sheen is amazing.
If you dont have any Colour Blast products then I suggest you head over and check them out. There are plenty to chose from.
Hope you have a go at the sketck, I would love to see what you come up with

Guest Designer spots available at Scrap Plezier
Hey there scrappy friends
How would you like a Guest DT spot? Scrap Plezier would like your application :) Send an email to: dt@scrapplezier.nl with your expression of interest. Tell them Deb sent you :)
And, here is my very first reveal for Scrap Plezier.
First the sensational moobboard
And my interpretation:
I am so excited to be bringing you all my first layout as a Design Team
member here at ScrapPlezier. I was beside myself with joy when I was shown
the moodboard and requirements for this layout.
The colours are beautiful and I have a large supply of KaiserCraft products.
I went through my stash of Kaiser 6 1/2" paper pads (of which I have very
many) and chose papers from a variety of collections - Bow and Arrow,
Vintage Timeless, Kaleidoscope, #Me, Blue Bay, and Seabreeze .
I used a Carta Bella stencil and Nuvo Embellishment mousse on the
background, and when that had dried I splattered some Heidi Swapp
Colourshine in Tinsel all oveLiquid Pearl r. I printed my photo in black
and white and began layering the patterned papers underneath until I had
achieved the look I was after. I mounted my photo with foam dots to give a
bit of separation with the papers. I then used the same papers to create
the embellishment cluster. I added some Liquid Pearl drops, and stuck on
some random buttons. I am really happy with how this layout turned out.

Sunny Day Crafting
Hello there scrappy friends
Sunny Day Crafting has had a change to the timing and themes of our challenges.
Starting today, March 1, Sunny Day crafting will post a monthly challenge with a theme. You now have all month to join us, but the "Anything Goes" theme is no longer.
The March theme is ..... Rainbows.
Here is my layout:
I borrowed the photo off the internet, but it is a picture taken in my home town. Isnt that rainbow just awesome?
For the background I used the "smooshing" method with packaging and Tim Holtz Distress Markers. I was looking for a bit brighter and deeper colour set, but I am very happy with how it turned out.
Firstly I used a Crafters Workshop 6x6 stencil and some Gel Medium. I only had soft gel so did not get the texture I was wanting (Heavy Gel Medium is now on my shopping list). I then started with the 'smooshing' - which I learnt from watching Youtube, and Nicole Jones here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3niZIIqF_8. Nicole used Gelato's but I only have 4 and not the colours I wanted to use so went with the Distress Crayons. I finished off with a Creaative Expressions stamp in grey.
Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with for our new monthly challenges at Sunny Day Crafting.
Thanks for stopping by today - I do appreciate it
