My first reveal at Sketches in Thyme :)
Woohoo, it is almost time for my first DT reveal at Sketches in Thyme.
This is the sketch I had to work with:
and here is my layout:
I used some of my favourite Maja Designs papers, with lots of covered chipboard and ink splatters.
The photo is not the best as I took it off a video of Sam clearing 1.93m at the high jump at the Oceania Area Athletics Championships in Rarotonga, Cook Islands, June 2014, whilst representing Regional Australia in the U20 boys Octathlon. This jump qualified him to represent Tassie at the 2015 Australian Junior and Age Championships which were in Sydney in March this year. He finished 4th in the Octathlon - a mere 40 points off a bronze medal. An awesome effort
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you head on over to Sketches in Thyme and enter the challenges, which run all month.

Turtle Soup
Hello again,
I have stumbled across a new place to call my scrapping home :)
This is a forum filled with all things scrappy. Awesome challenges, great daily questions, scrappy and no scrap related chat - all the things you would like in a scrappy home away from home.
I urge you all to venture on over and have a look around - I did, and I loved it.
Here is a rundown of the wonderful monthly challenges that are available to do:
DAILY CHALLENGES
Sunday Cards Sketch plus twist optional
Monday Sketch ( layout, cards or tags or ATC's)
Tuesday TTT (tools, techniques, tips) (copics, digital etc)
Wednesday Stash ( use up your stash)
Thursday Scraplift (members from our gallery)
Friday Inspiration (pinterest, ads, photos, colour, quotes, Blog inspiration)
Saturday All Sorts (labels, flags, tags, party favours, ATC's, mixed media etc)
PLUS every month will have PROJECT 12 with Lisa Moen

Some projects won't allow this so watch for instructions when posted.
*****************************************************
MINI CROP EVERY 3RD FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH
On the 3rd Friday of every month we will have a Mini Crop which will be themed, have at least 7 challenges all posted that day and you have 10 days to play along ending at midnight EST (Sunday).
******************************************************
NO challenges will post the rest of the month. This time will be used to catch up and finish the months challenges.
Play a lot or only join in on only the things that interest you.. but you have the choice about how much you play along with.... but with lots of options.
*******************************************************
There is a super talented Design Team who lead the way through all the challenges, and there are special challenges in some months as well.
Go on, head over and check it out :)

Sketches in Thyme
Why dont you head on over to the Sketches in Thyme blog and enter the amazing sketch challenges on offer. You can even win some gorgeous papers. Who doesnt need paper??
Sketch #171
Each week a new sketch is released and the talented Mavens work with it.
It will be my turn with sketch #174, which will be published on Nov 22, and my example goes live on Nov 26. Cant wait to show you my first effort, this time round. I actually love the layout, although the photo I used was taken from a video so is very ordinary.
Wanna sneak peak?
